sounds interesting ... i would say black is good :) make sure though you make the other walls brilliant white ...or ... paint the smallest wall in black ...(you would not want to have your room too dark, no matter how dark the personality. I would suggest hanging on the black wall some contrast photos .. as black and white shining stuff .. i think it would look great. i would write whatever the quotes on the white walls... it would look crowded on the black wall. you can look up quotes on the net there ar literally loads of sites and choose what you like ... wish you luck, and most of all ..have fun redoing your room..

It is always a great idea to make a room as an extension of your personality but I must tell you painting a wall BLACK will actually make the room appear smaller Black always pulls the other colors into it ever heard of the Black Hole. If it is a darker wall you want pick something from a gray or look into all the colors out there and use a paint that actually meant to go with the main color the way that you are painting is by using a base color and an accent color If you want to paint three walls white then try what we call in the interior design business a Gray scale value of 6 or 4 it would be dark enough but maintain some of the light as the black will suck the light out. I suggest that you go to a paint store "Not Home Depot or Lowe's" but a Color Rite or some other paint store Sherman Williams or Benjamin Moore and ask them to use their color wheel they will show you how to use it and to can see the effects of opposite color paints and the degrees in which the color changes

Dear Kirsta,
We all like a nice peaceful retreat and definitely our bedroom is one of those places.

We redid one of our daughter's room last summer. Below is what we did with suggestions for you.

You have some great ideas but because your room is small you don't need a lot on the walls...it will make it appear smaller and more boxed in.

Just choose maybe music and have pictures on one walls with different kinds of framed music lyrics.
Framed always look more sophisticated.

"We chose two paintings (from Marshalls) One was a blue hues ocean scene with waves with a white finish frame and the other was a blue painted frame of teenagers playing in the water by the ocean side. It has more light to it. We placed that on the blue wall. We also added a silver oval framed mirror and and rectangular family picture collage frame"

You can follow something similar with pictures of friends, and music and NY or Tokyo, but only 2-3.

" Her bedding is a mixture of different shades of blue, yellow and fuchcia. It is a very peaceful room."
What colors do you like? Choose light colors

"We also put a rolling kitchen cart trolley in her room where she has a terrarium with seashells sitting on top of it. The shelves hold her school supplies. She closes the doors and it is nice and neat. You can find this at the resource below."

You did not mention furniture, so if you don't have any this will work great for storage. You can do something similar to what we did.

I wish I could show you a picture but it is truly a retreat for her.

This is not an expensive makeover. Follow what we did and choose your own colors. Walmart, Target and Marshalls are all great stores.Discuss it with your parents and
email me if you have any questions.

Happy decorating,

I think you have a lot of good ideas. The black wall with the picture of Tokyo or New York will really make your room unusual. You say your room is small so I think you need to pick out just a couple of your ideas for the other walls. I think you would feel too boxed in otherwise. Why not just go with the music theme since you say you love it. And maybe add a few pictures of your friends.

Take your time, Pick out things you really love. Have fun.

You say the dog is a "full trained 2 yr old chinese pug".
A fully trained 2 year old dog will not usually tear up furniture.

That's why you get a crate or leave him in a room while you are gone with stuff put up that you don't want chewed up. Get him some chew toys. Make sure he has enough water while you're gone. People work all the time and have dogs and manage just fine.

" feel like i totally let her have something and then I just ripped it out from underneath her,"

You techincally did...

I have a dog and I wouldn't dream of giving him away. Would you give your daughter away just because you didn't want her to mess up something? I would hope not.

EDIT: I agree with the person above me.
Well, the dog obviously deserves a better life with someone who has more time to spend with him, but I just don't get why one minute you would be like "okay we can keep the dog" and then the next you're like "lolz, nevermind we'll take him back to grandma's." That DOES hurt a child once they get attached to a dog or anything else. You shouldn't have allowed her to keep him if you don't want the dog.

Diving in headlong with a full submersion in the life of young fledgling love. The story picks up in mid thought, but yet it curiously draws one only if they care to unfold the mystique. The feeling behind this is not sporadic, yet based on emotion and wishes. The twist of words that adds to the play and spirit of these lovers. I find this a truely unique and entrancing poem. I'd like to see more as the style you're using evolves.
